If you are playing a ranged cleric with paralyzing arrows in a group you just hit the easy button against most mobs. Your paralyzing DC will be 25 without even trying.Martial Cleric means you're really trying to hide and bury the Cleric part as much as possible. Grab the self heals but try to lean as much as you can on your other class. /6 Fighter or Barb THF gives you the most flexbility I think for melee - you'll just be a heavy armor self healing cleavebot.Again, the gear is the biggest issue with any melee. I've done pure fighter tanks and pure Cleric tanks. I liked them both. The Cleric is more useful to the party but sometimes required attention under stress. That was my experience at least.
